This year at BETT, Clevertouch is hosting The Clevertouch Academy.

As well as the Clevertouch stand (stand number C280), we are running a full programme of FREE Clevertouch Academy presentations, covering subjects such as:

  • How to plan the ultimate lesson for different subjects and age groups using your classroom’s touchscreen
  • EdTech Expert Dr Edward Tse, will reveal why and how some teachers are choosing to ‘flip the classroom’ to improve pupil retention
  • Explore the benefits of creative expression and discuss practical tips for using multitouch technology to expose learners to many forms of creative expression quickly

A chance to rest your feet and enjoy complimentary refreshments, while discovering more about solving the challenges faced in the modern classroom.

Dr. Edward Tse has over a decade of experience in Educational Technology, most of it at SMART Technologies, where he served as both External Research Program Manager and Project Research Leader. Edward was one of the primary inventors of the first multitouch table product for Education, the SMART Table.

Q&A with Andrew Pridmore

Headteacher at Elizabeth Woodville Primary School

Elizabeth Woodville primary, a village school in Leicestershire, recently upgraded its’ technology, installing Clevertouch touchscreens in all of its’ classrooms. We are pleased to announce that headteacher, Andrew Pridmore, will be participating in a Clevertouch Academy Q&A session – taking questions from the audience and sharing his experiences of a real-life technology upgrade.

Andrew and his teaching team are passionate advocates of digital learning: weaving technology through the curriculum to create an inspiring learning environment, which underpins the school’s ethos, so he is well placed to answer your questions.

The Ultimate Lesson

The Clevertouch Training Team led by Ashley Helm

These sessions will demonstrate how a Clevertouch touchscreen can be integrated into a classroom setting to create lessons that work for everyone:

  • Find out how interactive touch technology can help engage pupils of every age and different learning abilities
  • Learn how schools can maximise the use of mobile devices to work in tandem with their Clevertouch
  • Demonstrations on combining new tech with existing resources to retain continuity but at the same time reinvigorate lessons

Q&A with Dave Whillier

Subject leader for computing at Camelsdale Primary School

Dave Whillier is a Year 6 teacher and subject leader for computing at Camelsdale Primary School in Surrey. He was part of the team that implemented a Crowdfunding initiative that helped to fund a much needed technology upgrade. As a result all seven classrooms now boast a state-of-the-art Clevertouch screen.
