Why are meeting rooms changing?

We’re all used to hearing about how the way we work has changed. Our working style has taken just a year to completely evolve. We’re working from home or in a hybrid model. But what does that mean for meeting rooms?

To put it simply, meeting rooms need to become more  people-focused. For decades, the concept of the meeting room has been that you go to someone’s office and sit together at a specified time and collaborate using some form of static content be that a flipchart, whiteboard, or screen.

Now that people have got used to virtual meetings and working from home, they expect a similar if not better experience in inperson meetings (otherwise why not stay virtual). People want to be able to choose the apps that they use, how they share content, and how they connect with others. What they want is a collaborative experience that suppasses that available remotely! They want to share content and for others to be able to interact with that content, imitate it, change it and to walk away from the meeting with the files and notes already in their inbox or their as actions in their task management software.

What has also changed is where people are having face to face meetings, With many organisations now looking to reduce office space or moving to co-working spaces the need to have solutions that connect simply and dont require technical support or training are critical.

With the number of co-working offices increasing and more people choosing to work outside of their traditional office, the need for flexible solutions that anyone can easily connect with, no matter what device they are using or how they prefer to work has to be at the forefront of companies strategy. At the Clevertouch Gallery, We’ve even noticed that our partners are choosing to holding team meetings in our meeting rooms, and where some organisations have ended their lease on office space, many are now sharing meeting spaces with companies that they are aligned with. So again, those flexible, easy-to-use solutions are critical to supporting communication.

We’ve partnered with Logitech, Intel and DisplayNote, to provide these flexible meeting room solutions. From Microsoft Teams Rooms, to Zoom Rooms or BYOD solutions, we’ve developed a range of options that transform the meeting room experience. Each of these solutions has been installed in our London Clevertouch Gallery! (We’ll go into detail in the coming blogs on how each one can help you collaborate in and out of the room)

To see them in person, come along to our London Clevertouch Gallery by booking a time here.
