Gareth's Favourite Apps for Education

Gareth is a trainer and demonstrator at Clevertouch. As an ex-teacher, Gareth knows how critical teachers' understanding of their technology is and how this can impact their students.

Before Gareth joined Clevertouch, he worked as a primary school teacher for over 25 years. He brings expertise to revitalise your use of "front of class" presentation software. Whether you have touchscreens or not, our screens or another brand, he offers you training and support to improve your practice and make learning more interactive and engaging for your children.

Numberblocks
Numberblocks is an app to help primary school-aged children with maths by making it exciting, visual and interactive. Stemmed from the hit CBeebies show: Numberblocks.

Purple Mash
Purple Mash is a whole curricular, online resource that supports teachers with challenging subject areas or topics, such as coding. "As part of Purple Mash, I used a Maze Game creator a lot as the kids got to experience computing to design and build a game they could then play and road test."

Class Dojo
Class Dojo connects primary school teachers, students and families through communication features, such as messaging and a feed for photos and videos from the school day. "A great way of motivating children as you could use the app quickly to allocate points for good behaviour."
