A Clever Tale: The King's Whodunit

A Clever Tale: The King’s Whodunit

Learning Intention:

To enjoy a story with a message

Top Tips:

  • Sharing a story together is something children really enjoy, so settle down together and watch along with your child.

  • Pause the video at certain points to ask questions or make predictions. For instance, discuss how Lawrence feels at different points in the story.

  • At the end, discuss what lessons we can learn from the story. What was your favourite part?

Ideas for afterwards:

  • Sign up for our Clevertouch classroom to try some fun activities linked to the story.

  • Can you create a “Cycle of Blame” story where a chain of events eventually leads to a surprise ending? Use your own characters or those within the story. For example, maybe King Jasper’s crown goes missing. Or maybe the sheep that live along the clifftops disappear.
