The Official School of Languages in Monforte de Lemos (Galicia) has chosen Clevertouch for its library

The Official Language School in Monforte de Lemos has been operating in Galicia since 1991. With 10 classrooms, it teaches classes in German, French, English and Italian. The school needed a device that would meet their multimedia content projection needs, but that did not require complicated installations. Many teams would be using the technology and moving it between different spaces.

That is why at the end of last year they installed a 75-inch Clevertouch interactive display in their library, which they use for the book club, conferences with Webex and also other educational activities. And, in some specific cases, it is moved to one of the classrooms thanks to it being mounted on a mobile trolley with wheels.

"We chose it for its image quality, which makes it ideal for viewing fragments of ideas or videos," says Rosa María Quiroga, director of the Official School of Languages . The school wanted to avoid having “so many devices”, as other classrooms had projectors, projection screens, and digital whiteboards.

Complete solution

Clevertouch interactive displays are a complete end-to-end solution, easy to use, easy to install and designed to withstand more than 50,000 hours of use. Additionally, they require little maintenance and do not require any ongoing subscriptions, as they come with free applications and software designed to meet the requirements of the curriculum, helping to deliver more engaging lessons. In fact, they include Cleverstore, a free app store with over 200 full version, ad-free, education-specific apps.

The interactive displays feature a whiteboard app, a built-in internet browser, and have subscription-free access to the Lynx Whiteboard, and Snowflake.

“We have also chosen these devices because the lighting in the room doesn't matter; they always have a good image quality that makes it easier for students to take notes,” explains Quiroga. This is thanks to the 4K resolution and anti-glare glass.

For all teachers

The 13 teachers from the official language center have access to the Clevertouch display every day of the week in the library. And they have received training covering the basics from the AV installer IPR Solutions - Papelería Reigada (Iago Sánchez), "with whom we have been working for years and we are very happy with his professionalism, work and advice", comments the director.

And although there is still a lot to discover to optimize its use, including this tool in classes has been very well received by both teachers and students.

"That is why at the end of last year they installed a 75-inch Clevertouch interactive display in their library, distributed by Charmex AV Technology, which they use for the book club, conferences with Webex and also other educational activities. And, in some specific cases, it is moved to one of the classrooms thanks to it being mounted on a mobile trolley with wheels."
