About the Global Learning Academy

Based at Heathrow, the British Airways Global Learning Academy (GLA) is one of the world’s most advanced aviation training centres. It delivers thousands of training sessions every year for pilots, cabin crew, engineers, and ground staff, and hosts more than 150 visiting colleges and universities annually. 


The facility includes a 16-bay simulator hall, full-size cabin mock-ups with operational galleys and safety equipment, and 28 purpose-built classrooms for theoretical and practical instruction. Training runs around the clock to support both initial and recurrent programmes, ensuring British Airways teams remain fully qualified and compliant across every aircraft type. 


With such a high volume of activity, the need for consistent, real-time communication across the site was essential - making the rollout of the CleverLive digital signage network a natural evolution in GLA’s modern learning environment.
